Privacy Policy

Pinnacle Career Align does not create user accounts, store your resume or job descriptions on our servers, or sell your data. To prevent lost work, the app saves your session in your browser for up to 7 days unless you clear it sooner.

1. What information we process

When you use Pinnacle Career Align, you voluntarily submit the following information:

Resume content - your work history, skills, qualifications, and any personal details included in your resume.
Job descriptions - the job posting text you paste to run an analysis against.
Writing tone preferences - the communication style you select within the app.
Practice answers - text you type into the STAR practice scorer.
Offer Optimization - sensitive written offer terms, compensation amounts, candidate goals, priorities and explicitly confirmed professional source excerpts.

We do not collect your name, email address, contact details, or any account credentials. No registration is required to use the app.

2. How your information is used

Your resume and job description text is sent to the Anthropic API to generate career analysis, optimised resume content, cover letters, interview playbooks, and related outputs. This processing happens in real time during your session.

We do not use your data to train our own models, to build advertising profiles, or to share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-party AI processing - Anthropic

Act IV saves offer terms, strategy and validated results in this browser under the same 7-day session policy. Only when you choose to generate formal assets, the server sends a bounded selection of confirmed professional excerpts, selected role responsibilities, priority and lever IDs, and benchmark availability to Anthropic. It does not send your complete resume, prior reports, private minimum, package notes, employer name or compensation goals in this Act IV AI request. Arithmetic and correspondence are rendered by controlled templates, not model-written free prose. Offer content is not logged, added to usage events or cached as shared server results. Requests are processed in memory.

The core analysis engine is powered by Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic, PBC. When you run an analysis, your resume and job description text is transmitted to Anthropic's API over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

Anthropic's handling of API data is governed by their own privacy policy and API data usage policy, available at anthropic.com/privacy. Anthropic states that data submitted via the API is not used to train their models by default.

Your data is transmitted to Anthropic's servers, which may be located in the United States. By using this app, you acknowledge this transfer.

4. Data retention

Your resume text, job description text, selected preferences, sensitive offer terms, private negotiation goals, confirmed evidence, and generated outputs (including resume rewrites, cover letters, playbooks and Act IV selections) are saved in your browser's local storage so you can recover your work after a refresh or accidental tab close. This browser copy expires automatically after 7 days. You can delete it immediately at any time by selecting Clear saved session in the app. We do not store this session content on our servers.

Browser storage belongs to the device and browser profile you are using. If you use a shared or public device, clear your saved session before leaving. Browser local storage is not encrypted by the app at rest.

We do retain a small set of anonymous, aggregated behavioural signals in a secure database to understand how the product is used and to improve it over time. These signals contain no resume text, no job description text, and no personal information. Examples of what is stored:

Which analysis path was used (Express or Full)
Which stages of the app were completed
Numerical match scores (e.g. 74 out of 100)
Salary band brackets inferred from the job posting (e.g. "$120k–$150k") - not linked to you personally
Whether AI screening vendors were detected in the job description, and which ones
Which features were used (cover letter generated, STAR scorer used, PDF downloaded)

These records are associated with a randomly generated session identifier that is created fresh each time you open the app and discarded when you close the tab. They cannot be linked back to you, your resume, or your identity.

Server logs may temporarily record request metadata (timestamp, IP address) for security and rate-limiting purposes. These logs do not include resume content and are purged on a rolling basis.

5. Cookies and tracking

This application does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics platforms. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tools.

We use browser session storage (not cookies) to hold a temporary random identifier for the duration of your visit. This identifier is used only to group your anonymous behavioural signals together within a single session. It is not stored on our servers and is deleted automatically when you close the tab.

Separately, we use browser local storage to retain the career-work session described in section 4 for up to 7 days. This storage is used only to restore your progress and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Security

All data transmitted between your browser and our server, and between our server and Anthropic, is encrypted in transit using TLS. Our server-side API architecture is designed so that your resume content is never logged, stored, or written to disk. Rate limiting is applied to prevent abuse.

7. Children's privacy

Pinnacle Career Align is intended for adults who are active in the job market. We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this app, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

8. Your rights

You can view and correct your session content directly in the app. Selecting Clear saved session deletes the browser copy immediately; otherwise, it expires automatically after 7 days. If you have questions about data processed during a session, or if you believe we hold information about you, you may contact us at the address below.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA respectively. Session content retained in local storage remains under your browser's control and can be deleted using the app control described above.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
